Went out to do some gardening today, and look at what I found:

Hooray!!!! DSCF3152

I finally have some tomatoes sprouting on my tomato plant! Smile

Now here's a question. Are these little guys bad?

Hooray!!!! DSCF3151

'Cause if they are, I'm in trouble. They are ALL OVER my yard.

Gratz on the tomatos!!!

Hehe, well we have a few onions planted in a pot on our back patio. We found one of those little guys in there, and left him... He ate all 6 tops to the onions!! So I would assume... they arent good for the green parts of your plants Neutral

Yeah...Lea..I'd take care of those guys quick. I can't tell for sure, but they look like a tomotoe horn worm..young..but even so. Go get some sevin dust. It's safe for the animals..and you, but USE GLOVES to put it on. Give everything a good dusting. It will dry up the little buggers. ONE of those can clear a tomato plant overnight! (if it's a tomato horn worm)

It's funny that you say they'll eat up my tomatoes; that seems to be the one plant that hasn't really been bothered. There are a few holes in my pepper plant and some in my basil too, but the tomatoes haven't been touched. At any rate, I guess I'll pick up some sevin dust next time I'm out.

Huh.
Tomato horn worm that plagued me was bright lime green and about as big as my pinky finger (which I wear a size 8 ring on)... it had horns but no hairs.
I recognise that guy, just don't know what he is... but... ya. He's a hungry li'l booger.

Yeah, I thought they were big, ugly and green too. But at any rate, whatever he is, he has managed to eat some of my leaves, so I bought some stuff yesterday to put on the plants. I'll prolly get around to doing it after my doctor's appointment today.
