| My favorite time of year is here! Fall is in full swing around these parts - chilly nights, an explosion of color in the surrounding scenery, and pumpkins on the doorsteps. I don't know why, but fall always makes me look to all the good times of the past. Maybe that's why it's my favorite season, who knows?
In this season of reflection, I find myself missing the flea market shop. I really liked the Posse getting together to work on crafts, run the shop, and have some laughs. Although we didn't get rich off of the venture, I still feel like we had a lot of fun. I find myself hoping that maybe one day in the future, we could do it again.
I also find myself missing making stuff. Of all the things I tried, I liked making my jewelry and pendulums the most. I wonder how, or even if, I could go about marketing this stuff. ::Shrug:: I'm feeling moved to look into it, though. Anyone know a good place to get started?

| Well hon..it's funny you mention all this..I was just thinking about the shop the other day....been thinking about it many times in the last month. I miss it too... Of course, you're too far away..and Haggie..well...she seemed to just fall away.. I do believe it is her choice, so I will not bother her again. We did have fun working the shop and making things for it.....Haggies quilts were always prettty..And I always loved your little 'houses'..of which I still have one.. Of course, fall is my fav time of year as well..I miss the fall colors, as SC surely doesn't have as much as I was used to growing up in VA. But we get some and I LOVE IT!! Did you ever think about opening a 'blog' or an etsy shop for your jewelry..you can make one of a kinds..sell them as you make them..but surely not mass market, people dont' want mass market much anymore (Or at least what I see is a trend toward the 'uncommon', the 'handmade'...) Ebay certainly seems to charge too much..but I think Etsy has a good deal Do some checkin.. And GOOD LUCK!! | |

| Honestly, I didn't even know such a thing was an option; I'll have to take a look at that. I had looked into eBay, but I wouldn't want to open up an eBay shop until I had established myself. I also looked into running my own online business, but that is some pretty hard work. If I ever did that, it would have to be the next step up from an eBay-like shop. I was thinking of hitting up local craft fairs - with a little research, I'm sure I could find some.
As far as the shop goes, I know I'm too far away to help you run it, but I certainly wouldn't mind making stuff for it if you ever did give it another go. Hopefully we'll be moving a bit closer in the next year, too!

| Well, I took the plunge today. I am now a registered member of Etsy, and I opted to become a seller. I don't have any listings at the moment, nor have I put together a "look" for my shop, but it's there. Hopefully before next weekend, I'll have it all together and have at least one or two listings. Keep your fingers crossed for me! | |

| Well, my shop is set up. I still don't have any listings, but I'm hoping to remedy that by tomorrow or so. I have written out my shop policies and fleshed out my profile. The help tips at Etsy says finding what works for me as a seller usually takes some trial and error, but I think I have a pretty good start.

| Just posted two more listings, a couple of signs I painted. I'm hoping they find good homes. My Halloween sign has already gotten 7 views! I know you gals are responsible for a couple of those, but at least people are looking! I also piddled around today and got a better looking shop banner up. The one I had before was kind of crap. This one looks a little more professional - thank you Photobucket!
Today I moved the folding tables into the loft so I could have a work area. I'm really excited about the whole shop prospect. Niel is on board with it; he's keeping his fingers crossed for me to have this as a real "work from home" job. It would be a real win-win for us.
It's kind of funny - I pulled a card for myself at New Years and it told me this would be a year for decisions. I wonder if this is what it had in mind?
